Mike Dinsdale

Michael Dinsdale began his karate training under Steve Arneil, Kyokushinkai, in 1966. He went on to train under the great Steve Morris of Goju fame, as soon as he came back from Japan He further trained directly under Masutatsu Oyama, Tatsuo Suzuki, Shigiru Kimura & Keinosuke Enoeda. He was awarded his 8th Dan in 2008.

Mike has also trained in Ueshiba Aikido 1980-1988 under Paul Barker. Mike is qualified as a British Karate Federation (BKF) Referee in both Kata & Kumite.

Mike was elected as English Karate Governing Body (EKGB) General Secretary in 1990–1994. He was also elected on to the Executive Board of the European Karate Federation in 1994, appointed as its Treasurer in 1997 until the present time and also elected as Executive Board member of the World Karate Federation (WKF) in 1994. He was appointed Acting Treasurer of the above, in January 2007 and confirmed as Treasurer of the above in October 2007.

Mike was appointed an Executive member of the British Karate Federation Board 2006, and also appointed WKF and BKF representative on the British Olympic Association (BOA)
