Once again Karate has failed in its' quest to become an Olympic Sport

Aug 14, 2009

Once again Karate has failed in its' quest to become an Olympic Sport.

Nobody could have done more to put the case forward for Karate than the President of the WKF, Snr Antonio Espinos, and his team.

Snr Espinos, ably assisted by Mr George Yerolimpos WKF General Secretary, plus many other members of the world organisation, including Englands' Mike Dinsdale and Scotlands' Terry Connell, have worked tirelessly in their aim to have karate accepted, but to no avail.

There is obviously great disappointment among the karate fraternity but we must never give up hope. One day it will happen.

In the meantime the BKF salutes Snr Espinos for the fantastic efforts he and his team have made on our behalf.

Mike Billman.
