14 year old Heather Mc Ilraith of Shitokai Scotland wins bronze kata medal at the 2012 USA National Karate Championsips held in Fort Lauderdale in July. Heather is now preparing for the British Open in Glasgow this October. Well done Heather on a tremendous effort.

Heather said "The USA National Karate Championships were held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was a big competition with lots of people there and it had a great atmosphere. It was an amazing feeling when I won my bronze medal for kata as all the other medal winners were American. It was a fantastic experience and I was delighted with the great reception I received from my club when I got back home".
